Computer doesn't see PV-DV53 camcorder?

I want to transfer video clip from my Panasonic PV-DV53 camcorder to PC. I bought and installed Stor FireWire PCI Card. My XP system automatically found driver and installed it. I did not see any yellow question signs in system device manager. I conected my camcorder to PC with Fire Wire cable and computer didsn't recognize it as a new device. I have two cables, so I tried both and no help. Anybody knows what is the problem ? And of course my camcorder was on.

  1. 1) The camcorder needs to be in playback mode.

    2) The operating system won't do anything "automatically" you need to be in the video editor and import of capture the video from the camcorder.
