Computer errors after virus

i had a virus, xp antivirus 2008 i think it was called.i downloaded f-secure and this has now gone but i am left with a few probs..the system seems a bit slower (i have a dell xps m1710 so it is a fast machine)...if i go into "my computer" it only shows drive E, which is the media direct drive.i am sure this didnt show before, it no longer shows C drive so this is a problem..also windows updates will not install.can anybody please offer advice.

  3. Your system is always going to be slower after a virus. But in actuality, there never really is an "after a virus". A virus may have ways of leaving an after-affect when it's destroyed by a true anti-virus program.

    Sometimes a virus attacks your computer's weaknesses. I think my parents' computer had the same problem with their C-Drive. You'll have to purchase a new one - sorry... that's the only way to fix the issue. (Not purchase a new computer, I mean a new C-Drive... it's available at places like Staples).
