Computer hard drive?

Ihave a Samsung SyncMaster 955SL Comp[uter and it keeps shutting down when I am on the internet. Also, at times it seems to respond very slow. I have checked with my DSL provider and they say everything is okay there. I was told it may be the hard drive. If so, how much does the hard drive for that computer cost?
