Computer help please!!!

How do you lower the resolution on your lap top?? The lowest mine will go is 800 pixels. But I need it to be at 720p. Is there a way around this??

Extra info.- I am hooking up my laptop to my tv... so that I can see the screen on the tv. But the tv resolution cant be over 720p.

You need to go to advanced in setting for resolution then go to display then click on the on button for the tv then the computer will adjust istself then all you do is connect it to your TV and there you go Good Luck

800 pixels does not mean 720p

Check your televison box and see what the resolution is.

Switch it on your computer

Just hook it up to your TV at 800 pixels. Nothing bad will happen. Your laptop needs to be connected to an external monitor (or TV) before it can make adjustments (automatically) to its resolution.
