Computer help???????

i want to get this mother board. but i have one question the mother board is 1600 MHz. does that mean i have to get ram which 1600 MHz and processor which is 1600MHz etc. or can i muddle is up. e.g. mother board 1600 MHZ, ram 1066 MHz, processor 1333 MHz.

  1. The 1600 MHz is the maximum allowable clocking speed that the FSB (Front Side Bus) of the motherboard can handle. As long as the other components don't exceed that speed you should be ok.

    Keep in mind though that if the other components are rated at a slower clock speed the system will not operate at optimum efficiency.  


  2. Please repost with the exact model of the motherboard.  The motherboard will have specific allowable frequency ranges for the RAM and CPU, choosing the wrong FSB for RAM or CPU will cause it to either underclock the frequency and bus or not POST at all.
