i just bought the nikon D60 DSLR. I have been using it for about a week now and uploading pictures with no problem until today, i tried to upload my pictures and it said that my device has malfunctioned , i went through the troubleshoot thing and it told me that i had no drivers for this usb device, even though i know i do , i installed the disc that came with the camera. i tried putting the disc in again and er installing it and it did nothing. how do i fix this ?!!?

  1. It could be a Firewall issue.  Check into the firewall settings.


  2. Just buy a card reader ... about $10

    You can avoid all the grief of camera to computer interface issues that can occur whether you are attempting to copy image files from $100 P&S to $40,000 medium format digital cameras to either Mac's or PC's.  Plus you will not be using your cameras battery power making the transfer.

    I did an informal survey with some of my fellow pros at a recent meeting and all of them use card readers when copying images from memory cards to computers ... the new ExpressCard/54's ports transfer files five times faster than USB 2.0 ports.
