Computer help to play my DVDs

I brought my computer back in January of 2008 and my computer was playing dvd's and now it's not playing dvd's and my computer tells me that everything is working alright, I have a vista(gateway). I need help to make my dvd's play?

yes you need to go to the start menu then click run then type format c: and hit enter twice

when u put in a dvd it shows option in ur screen if it dosnt do that then open the player u use to watch movies on n look up there. if that dosnt work something is wrong with it.

Maybe you just need to insert a new dvd to test it again if it is working fine. You can also try to replace your dvd.
