  1. Under tools make sure your pop up blocker is on.

Go to Control and add and remove programs.

Look through the programs and delete any you do not recognize or need then restart programs.

You can also set your controls to certain words will be blocked from the computer.

    Hope this helps

  2. Webroot spysweeper.  It will purge your cousins computer of any spyware that got onto it and help block those annoying pop ups.

  3. OK go to the tools icon in the top left corner of ie then click it then click manage add ons then click enable disable icons make shure it says add ons currently installed on ie then anything you dont need or dont recognize turn off. this is just the start if your lucky this will solve your problem. e-mail me

  4. Ya thats no good. I had that happen a couple months ago. The computer could be infected with trojan vundo, smitfraud, puper trojan or all three. Spybot is what i used to remove those exact viruses from my computer and it worked like a charm. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IF IT SAYS YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED!!!!!!!. It will give you even more viruses. And if a red biohazard screen appears on you desktop saying "your privacy is in DANDER" download antipsyware now!!!" you definitely have smitfraud. Dont wait because trojans download other trojans continuously onto your computer by a random website. Feel free to ask more questions. I have answers. And also viruses and spyware steal your private info so clear your private data on the internet .

  5. Oh yikes! Try running a PC scan to see what might be causing the popups. Maybe you installed something weird by accident. I like this one because it's free http://www.expressmetrix.com/pc-audit-in... If that doesn't work, buy a blindfold:)

  8. well arn't p**n pop-ups usually of women? So it really doesn't matter, it's like looking in a distorted mirror (b***s are bigger and all, but nvm. that's inappropriate).  For a solution, just install a free version of Ad-Aware.  It's a really really great spyware and trojan deleter.  I use the full version that i had to pay for, but the free version works almost just as well.

    the website is

    http://lavasoft.com/

on the top right of the screen when it opens will be 3 options

    quick buy for plus

    quick buy for pro

    and download the free version

just download the free version on to your cousin's computer

run the program on full system scan if there is an option like that (if not, just go with the smart scan or the closest one to it), and just wait until it is done.  The first time is going to take a LONG time, but it's well worth it.  The program would probably find over 1000 spyware trojans.  After the program finishes its run, just click next and it will take you to a screen to show which ones you want to delete.  You want to delete all of them.  Usually, the default screen they take you to will be showing 1 trojan at a time.  And with well over 1000 of them, it's gonna take you a while to click all of them. Click on the tab "Scan Summary" which is right above the list of spyware and trojans.  This pretty much summarizes what you have.  just click, the boxes next to the main subjects (not the plus signs, those maximize everythign all over again). Click next and it will ask if you want to delete X number of spywares or whatever.  just click ok, a progress bar will show up briefly (depending on how much you have) and after that goes away, it is ALL gone.  just exit out of the program.

I recommend you run the program in smart mode after your first check up approximately once a week to once every 2 weeks.  It will take MUCH less time than your first time, and will find about 9 to 20 critical objects per run, depedning on which sites you have been on.  If you find more than 20, do the scans more often.

I run Ad-Aware once a week to once every 3 days.  My computer runs like new and it never slows down.

Another program i strongly recommend (but i won't go into detail about) is Spybot.  search it on google, download it, it is free, and run the program.  I usually run that programs once a month to once every 2 months.  It's not necessary to have the program, but it gets what Ad-Aware can't.

P.S.  Don't forget to update Ad-Aware everytime you open it to do a scan.  They give updates very often to keep up with the latest spyware.  When you open the Ad-Aware program, there will be an option to Check Updates.

Good luck with getting rid of those pop ups
