  1. no u will need a litte usb wifi thing. OR you can buy a new laptop like mine with a wifi reciver built in! ( by dell)

  2. Do you know if it has a internal wireless card? Open up Start menu > Connect to> Do you see Wireless Network Connection? If no, you are going to need to buy a wireless card.

If yes, right click on it and enable it if it isn't already.

When I mean Wireless card, this is an example: http://www.wireless.att.com/businesscent...

If you have enabled your wireless connection, you should see in your toolbar if you have connected to a router or if you have found a signal. From there, connect to it and if you have done properly it should work.

  3. There is no way to connect to WIFI without the hardware.  You need an internal PCI wireless board or (simplest) USB wireless adapter.

  4. wow

  5. one way or another you need a wireless network adapter

they come in usb form or credit card pcmcia cards

No need to buy the fancy newest n stuff

Wireless g ( or even b) are fine

Make sure that software install ( drivers) are available for your operating system

If the card is used and does not come with a  disc - there may be more than one version of the same model of card

When you go the maker of the card online for the install

program they should tell you , even with pictures , how to tell the different "versions" of the cards and get the right install program - other wise it will not work

    Fairly simple stuff

get a wireless g or b network adapter - either as usb or crdit card pcmcia wireless network adapter

I have installed these cards on really old even pentium 1 computers

If you have an older windows 98 or 2000 laptop you will be fine
