Computer is acting slow.please someone help?

Question

well my computer has been fast for a while.then 2 days ago my dumb @$$ brother comes on the computer at night so i went to sleep.

so when later after taht day i go on the computer and its acting slow!!.

and teh fact that makes me upset is that i know my brother probly been on some bull c**p and he lies =/.i love the guy but man do i dislike him at times.

anywayz i tried scanning the computer and im scanning it again but they find nothing!.and i cant afford to break another computer (brother broke the last =/) my mom wont buy a new one this time.

anyvirus protection sites or ANYTHING to make my computer faster it would really help =).

try deleting your web history through  Internet options

run ATF-Cleaner (select all)

You may or may not have a virus., get superantispyware free edition., download., update., and do an in depth scan in safe mode., its great at finding trojans and other c**p., and also get( Cleanup) great product for cleaning up your computer., Good luck.

Sorry to hear this. Not sure if this will help but to can try to run One Care Safety scan from the site below.

You will need to run the full service scan it takes the longest to run but it is well worth it because it not only scans for computer viruses but it also fixes other computer problems. Don't know what he did to it, so it's hard to advise. Try to defrag the hard drive. That might help.

most likely spyware, it comes from practically every sight out there, and it bogs down ur computer. i use spybot search and destroy and works pretty good. u can do a search or whatever but thts probably the problem. and if you have windows exp, use the defrag in 'My computer" itll get rid of all of your fragmented files, might take a LONG *** time, but it should help

Try Defregmentation the System Drive C:\. Double click on my computer, Right Click on C:\, Go to Properties, Select 2nd option Tools and click Defregmentation.

Go to your start menu and go to accessories, then system tools. run disk cleanup wizard and then run disk defragmenter. If these do not work in the same folder should be your system restore which you can run and restore the computer back to an earlier date when it was running better, however if you you restore to an earlier date you will lose anything new that you saved or programs that you added from that date forward.

Well you can always Master reset your computer. It will act like factory new but everything on it will be gone. A good anti virus i use is stopzilla.com. It scans for viruses and deletes them. It does it all. Its also not so expensive and gives you a free scan with no purchase. once you see what is affecting it you can purchase to get rid of the problem. I would recomend the reset and then install the anti virus.

If its just the internet acting slow, then you can reset the browser you use, or empty the cache.

If its your whole computer, then its probably some spyware.
