  1. Ok just so you know viruses don't make a PC loud, just slow. Anyway 1. One of your fan fins have broken off. 2. Your fans clogged with dust. 3. Get new fans or power supply. 4. Check if your CD drive has four screws. PS. When blowing the fan make shure you hold it with a screwdriver to stop it from spinning like mad and killing the bearings making the problem worse and having to do no. 3.

  2. Is your hard disk full? it would be good to check that and to delete many of the music you saved or to burn a cd with it. Maybe your hard disk is old and need to be replaced... good luck.

  3. Most of the time, a whirring noise is caused by the various fans in your computer.  If they're being particularly loud, it means they're working harder than normal; this is often because they're dirty.

About once a year or so, you should probably clean your computer.  Turn it off an unplug it.  Open it up.  Spray the dust off visible surfaces using a can of compressed air (available at most electronics stores.)

You could also install a quieter fan.

  4. It sounds like one of your fans is dusty.

Open your case and use compressed air to clean your fans (CPU, power supply and video card).

  5. omigosh, mine is sooo loud too! my parents say it sounds like a vacuum cleaner! my guess is its the fan. either its dusty, like others have said, or you should just get a new one. i'm thinking of splurging for a new one since mine is not dusty. =/ good luck.
