  1. Well the only way to reduce the consumption of bandwidth is to reduce usage of programs that consume large amounts of bandwidth (which may include some games) however you might want to check your PC for viruses or trojans as they can often result in consumption of large amount of bandwidth without your knowledge.

Other than that the only thing you can do is get a faster internet connection which has enough bandwidth to supply your needs and the other people sharing the connection or reduce your usage of high bandwidth applications or peer to peer programs which are massive drains on bandwidth.

  2. If the only thing going on is you playing WoW, and someone is objecting to it "eating all the bandwidth", then you really need to get a better connection, or perhaps a better router that can properly handle the data flow.

I had a roommate who was a major WoW fanatic, and with a simple 4Mb connection (via Comcast), I never noticed it when he was gaming.  I sure noticed it when the file leeching started, though.

The best way to maintain throughput when there's a lot of "other data" traffic is to make sure that you throttle your sending speed.  Don't choke your outbound connection, and everything else tends to flow smoother, too.

  3. whenever ur internet is not in use pl turn it off
