Computer not showing on via monitor

Question

Hello have a gateway desktop computer fsp200 60atv and I tried to add memmory. As soon as I added the memmory the computer went off and ever since when I turn on the computer the monitor isnt coming on - blank monitor but I hear the system on .. the lights showing the HD is on.. inside on the mothermoard I see a blinking red light near the ethernet card...
Please help
