Computer problem, can't check for updates. also,?

windows detected system corruption in local disk C, must check for errors before it can be restored. now i try at the start up and every way i can, it won't work. i suspect a virus.

GET MALWAREBYTES ANTI-MALWARE IF THAT DOES NOT WORK THAN , TRY SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY

You'll need to run CHKDSK /R or you could have a bad HDD in the computer.  If you follow this guide you should be able to either figure out if the HDD is bad or fix the problem:
