  1. Looks like you have a video/gaphics card problem, especially with the blue screen.

  2. Could be a memory module failing, power supply failure, which used* to cause most BSODs, a graphics card failure as mentioned or processor failure. It's definitely not always* because of one thing and one thing only... however, a majority of the time it is due to dust or inadequate air flow inside the PC, to allow cold air/heat exchange.

When the blue screen comes up, it will have an address. The address will be similar to 0x0000000 (0x0000000, 0x0000000, 0x0000000, 0x0000000). If you took those numbers and/or even the complete message over to Google or Microsoft, you should be able to find out what the error message meant and what caused the error. Chances are it is because of dust covering the internals (E.G., heat sync cooling fins, memory, graphics card, power supply) or the fresh air/exhaust vents.

Also, any problems should be noted in your even log. If you know what time it happened, check the event log by going to START | CONTROL PANEL | ADMINISTRATIVE TOOL | EVENT LOGGER, highlight a title in the left plane and look in the right plane, for the reports that are marked with an exclamation point, that occurred at the same time the error occurred.
