Computer programes stopped working?

i am having problems with my computer all of a sudden programes stopped working like games my security software it would say they are working but they were not, and if they were they are very slow like 20mins plus to load i would anyomne know what is wrong or how to fix this proble i have reninstalled windows and it still does it
