Question:

Computer programming career path/salary?

I saw another question that was similar to a lot of my questions. I'm 14 years old, and I might want to go into web design or possible computer programming (software creation). How much could an entry level web designer make, compared to a software programmer (C, C++, Java)?

Also, once I get more experienced, do most people with these careers go on to do something more advanced? How much would that earn?

  1. I make 40$ per hour here in Japan

  2. You can make $60000 per year, as a web designer you can start earning now , you can register at freelance websites like http://getafreelnacer.com/ , http://eufrelance.com/ , http://scriptlance.biz/ ,etc and start bidding for all web designing projects posted there .

  3. I'm not sure, but when i checked on a nz governement website, it said that webdesigner is around NZ$40k/year or so, its not that much, programming i've heard it can earn 200k/year after a 3 month course, but i highly doubt that. I'm trying to do a computer pathway too, I am doing an information management subject in highschool and was told that a website i made was pretty good, and i diden't try hard on it at all. so i'm just making websites to practice.
