Okay I have this problem on my computer, the fans inside are spinning so loudly now, it was ok on Friday then I turn it on on Saturday morning and it's spinning so loudly. Does anybody know why? I tried removing some unnecessary files but that still doesn't help. Can you help please?

  1. is it an old machine?

if yes ..donot load it with heavy programs and ram eaters

remember..load a horse as much its capable of..else ur ruined

  2. ur computer is old isn't it try cleaning ur fan and oil ur fan

  3. boot your computer and then hit f1 or delete what ever it says to boot to bios on your system.then there should be a setting for fan speed and it should tell you the temp of the cpu make sure its below 90'f for intel 80-85'f for amd.if its higher than that check your fan and heat sync for your cpu and make sure it wont move at all, and is tight to the processor.iv had the plastic tabs that the heat sync crack off from the pressure of the spring on the heat sync on several of my clients pc's over the years.as to why that makes it louder is that the fan is controlled by the temperature of the processor automatically and will speed up to full speed if its not touching the cpu anymore. and if thats not it i would do what the other guys said get some caned air and blow out every thing in your pc(with the power of of coarse) and under no circumstances stick a vacuum in there! to big and clumpy not to mention the static surrounding one of them!

  4. its probably the bearings on one of your fans. usually dust gets inside, or they start to wear out, and it causes them to make terrible noises. you'll likely need to find out which fan it is, and replace it. there are many ways to find out which fan it is, but if you are not qualified, you should be careful, as there are high voltages and easily damaged parts inside your computer. first step is to take the side panel off, and have a look. if you are not comfortable doing this, get a technician or a computer "friend" to give you a hand. also, make sure the computer has adequate ventilation (the fans exhaust a lot of hot air, and need to suck in cool, clean air), and make sure you haven't got too much dust built up. removing files etc won't make much difference. unless the processor is overburdened by running at a higher capacity, nothing software related will help. double check your CPU usage by pressing control+alt+delete on your keyboard to start the task manager, and click the "performance" tab to check CPU usage, make sure it isn't consistently high.

    good luck!

  5. Most likely one of the fans inside of the computer tower(aka a case) is bad. If you are not comfortable with opening up the tower and removing parts, you might want to find a techy friend to help you. Before touching anything inside your computer ever, always touch something metal nearby to release any built up static electricity. Touching the outside of the computer works if it is metal.

Step 1) Shut down your computer.

Step 2) Unplug your computer from the wall, and remove all cables attached to the back of your computer.

Step 3) Clear off a flat surface to work on your computer. Set the computer on said surface.

Step 4) Look at the back of your computer. The right side should have two screws in it. These screws are what are holding the side of your computer on. Remove these screws and then remove the right side of the caes. (Your computer case may be set up different from this, though it is unlikely. If this seems to be the case, then try to find the original documentation that came with your computer. Its should be able to walk you through this step.)

Optional step) If you have canned air or something similar, you can use that to gentle remove the dust form the inside of the computer. This will help keep your system running its best, and help your computer last longer.

Step 5) After you have removed the side of the case, Look inside. Most likely, you will have 3 fans. One will be attached to the front of your computer. The second will be attached to the back. The third will be sitting in the middle of the case. This one is the CPU(aka processor) fan. Most likely, it will be either of the first two fans that are the problem.

Step 6) Plug your computer back in, and then turn it on. (DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING INSIDE THE COMPUTER). Listen carefully. You should be able to tell which fan it is. Once you have determined which fan it is, hold down the power button to the computer until the system turns off, and then remove the power cable again.

Step 7) Look at the fan. There should be at least one cable coming from it. Unplug any cables that go to that fan. Next, look at the screws holding the fan in place. Get the appropriate screwdriver to remove them. Remove the screws, and then put the fan into a plastic bag.

Step 8) Go to your local computer shop (avoid bestbuy, they overcharge on this type of thing.) Find a fan that matches the one you have.

Step 9) Reverse the process outlined in step 7.

Step 10) Plug the power cable back in and turn on your computer. The sound should be gone!

If you are not comfortable with any of this, I again advise to find a techy friend to help you. This is really no more difficult than changing your oil or making something from a cookbook.

  6. Files? Computer speed? Rubbish. Unplug it, open it and VACUUM VACUUM VACUUM!
