Okay guys here's the question: I had a virus and some spyware on my laptop a couple weeks ago, so I went and bought a antispyware program and downloaded it on my computer, however it did not fix the problem. So I got my computer repaired and I was wondering if it was safe to reinstall that same program (it's a disk) on my computer now? Could it (the software cd) have gotten infected with my computer?

  1. TRY THIS ITS SOOOOO GOOD

  2. Like the other person said, If you bought the software from your local store then it should be alright, but if you got it from a friend (a copy) then it is possible. If I were you I wouldn't use it again as there are some very good spyware programs out today and they ar Free,  Here is one that I always highly recomend to anyone who need a good spyware protection program (it is among the best) so click on the link and give it a try ok. (http://www.superantispyware.com) This spyware program protects and get rid of (spyware, malware, adware, trojan horses, and some computer worms)  and it is Free.

  3. If the CD was a standard commercial version (Something you would by in a store) the answer is NO.

If it was copied onto a CD by someone else (friend) it is a possibility that the CD could be infected from your friends computer.

Another way a CD could get infected: Sometimes people do not "finalize" their Cd's that they create and they can still be written to.

You can put the CD in the drive and direct your program to check it.

'Lavasoft Ad-Aware 2008 Free, 'Spybot - Search & Destroy', ‘Bazooka’ and ‘Yahoo Toolbar’ are free, anti-spyware programs, what one misses the other one gets. You should install all of them.

There are several FREE pop-up blockers you can get, but you do not need those with an Internet Security program.

  4. no the cd CANNOT be infected.
