  1. Binary as a number base has been known for centuries, I'm sure. However I recall that the person who first suggested its use in computer architectures was John von Neumann, a genius theoretician and one of the founders of modern computer science along with Alan Turing.

    Also, 101010 + 111111 = 42 + 63 = 105 = 1101001.


  2. The concept of binary even if not recognised as 1s and 0s has been around ever since there has been a differentiation between 'Yes' and 'No' and any other pair that indicates opposites.

  3. Binary system was introduced by Charles Babage . who is also known as father of computer . he introduced it in 18 th century. even we use it in this century .

    Wikipedia gives a rather complicated answer but essentially binary began developing when humans recognized the difference between having something and having nothing.
