Computer registry and references?

Question

I get these pop-ups when I first start up windows that say 'windows can't find :c documents, remove the reference from the registry'

how would i go about doing this? how do i get into the registry?

You do NOT want to do this, the registry is the bible for Windows, just like an complex index to a very complex book with its own way of indexing, removing the wrong entry could be fatal.

I would suggest find a friend who knows a bit more about computers and comfortable with registry to do this for you.

You absolutely should not edit your registry unless you know what you're doing.  Doing it wrong can result in a non-working computer system.

I suspect that you may have an infection that is encouraging you to trash your system.  Try running a scan with a good product and see if it can remove the malware.
