Computer security issues...?

hi my comp has two problems..

1) i removed an antivirus program called threat fire but my computer at the security center in the control panel says its still there, i checked everywhere for threat fire but its completely gone i think... but its still there... im currently using avg as my antivirus program.

2) i think i have a malware in my comp, dont know how to remove it and dont think avg can remove it. it shows a red baloon on the bottom right corner and tell me to download xp guard, how cani remove this thing...

    Q2...have you rebooted after removing Threatfire.

    Try rebooting if not and it may well disappear.


  2. Download a-squared Free 3.5.0.25 to find out if you have any spyware. to completely get rid of Threatfire, you can download revo uninstaller which is free and you will have to install threatfire again and uninstall using revo uninstaller and you should be free of this issue
