Question:

Computer to TV - VGA or DVI?

I just bought new 52in LCD HDTV and want to connect my desktop PC to it.

My computer has two outputs - DVI and VGA.

My TV has two inputs - HDMI PC Input and D-sub (which I assume is VGA)

Currently I have the DVI going to a 20 inch Dell LCD monitor.

Should I use VGA to connect to the TV? Or should I buy a DVI-HDMI converter and connect to my TV that way?

Thanks!

  1. Doesn't matter a whole lot. TV resolution is pretty low. Maybe DVI for some more clarity on HD. I'm not sure.

  2. Get the DVI-HDMI converter. HDMI is digital and therefore has superior quality over the analogue VGA.
