Computer to TV hook up?

I have a Windows Vista laptop and I'm always watching online movies.

However, I hate watching them on my computer and would perfer to watch it on my television. Would anyone mind explaing to me how I could hook my laptop to my television?

The only thing I know about my TV is it's a brand, and it's a Sharp.

If it helps, it's not an HD.

Find out if your laptop has a s-video output and you can buy a s-video to rca connector then run it to your TVs RCA jack.

If your laptop has an S-Video output, and your TV has an S-Video input, then you can connect that cable from your laptop, to your TV. To change the display combination, just press either FN+F5, or FN+F8.
