Since you are in the Camcorder area...

If you are referring to video - Yes - if the camcorder is a miniDV tape based camcorder and you export the same way you import - over firewire. I do it all the time when I export 1080i video projects from my computer back to my Sony HDR-HC1 or HDR-FX1, then I connect the camcorders with component and audio cables to a 42" Panasonic plasma.

I have heard this is possible with some HDD or flash memory camcorders, but have never done it, and am skeptical that is it is possible.

From your video editor, there are some different selections for save as or export (or Share). If you are using a miniDV tape based camcorder, it needs to be in the same Play or VCR mode it was in when you imported the original video. Select the export to camera item... At least, that is how it works on my Macintoshes running iMovieHD or FinalCut - I presume the same capability is there for Windows video editors.
