Computer trouble driving me nuts?

Every time I go onto a page while on the internet, some of the pictures don't show up. Just an empty box with a little red x in the corner. Sometimes they will come up. But most of the time they don't. Sometimes half of the page doesn't even download. Can anyone help?

Try known-good sites, like this one or AOL.  If you can't see pictures on those, it's your problem.

But MANY sites are made (I hesitate to say "written") by people who don't know what they're doing, and the links to the pictures are bad.

It sounds like to me you have some kind of setting on your internet browser that is blocking the pictures. Also you may be blocking the java scripts. You are going to have to change your security setting either on your internet browser or your anti-virus software.
