I am looking at a new video card for my computer. I currently have a an ATI Radeon 2400 Pro HD. I'm looking at this card http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=SF-PX85GT1024U2-HPP&cat=VCD. It looks a little too good for the price. If anyone could tell me about the card or even the site it would be appreciated. Also recommend a good card under $300 if possible. Thanks in advance

  1. Dont buy that card it's a little outdated. Maybe for a 100 dollars go with the Geforce 8600 gts.

  2. What kind of graphics card you get depends on what you will be doing with your computer. If you are just using your computer as a media centre computer or as a computer to work and play a few games every now and then, you are probably better off sticking with the graphics card you have now. Unfortunately, if you are intending to play some of the more recent 3D games, you have to get a different card because neither the card you have or the card you found will be able to play these games.

A great card to get for playing the latest 3D games is the Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT because of it's stunning game performance and great price. It typically costs $145, but if you shop around a bit, you should be able to find it cheaper.

  3. That card is junk for the price.  An 8500GT isn't worth more than $40.  This is the best card in that price range:

If you want to spend more, these are probably the best deals:

  4. if i am not mistaken,
