I am having a video problem with my computer I am running windows Vista and Xp. When I boot in Vista everything is fine but when i boot in xp everything seems fine I get a post screen and the Windows Xp screen with the slider but after that I lose video. If i Disconnect the cable from the video card and reconnect it to my other DVI port on the back of the video card I then have video. If I reboot into Xp again I have to do this whole process over again. I have the current video driver for xp.

I am running:

Evga 680i mobo

Intel Quad Core Q6600

2 XFX Overclocked 8600gt w/Zalman heatsink fans

1- 640gb WD hard drive

1- Hp dvd burner

Any help would be appreciated as this is a real pain in the neck.

  1. I would suggest you to run in Safe Mode and reinstall the driver.

That problem has happened to me once.
