Computer virus!! help pleaaseee :))?

Question

okay well i have a computer virus.. its horrible.. and i dont really have the money right now to fix it. i would install anti virus programs but the computer wont let you download anythingg.. a screen pops up and it says please select the program you would like to run this with. and it like shows only the programs that the computer started with when i first got it. i cant see any picutres on the internet or anything.. i cant open any programs like the display panel or anything.. it says application not foound. PLEASE any thing would help. i really need it :)

Well bad news seems you are in trouble- If you cannot download anything then its not possible for the suggestion  that I would have liked to give you- But if you can in someway do that then download

spybot

or if you can  download software program called Erase that could help

You  may have  to take it to a PC doc!

this virus has I feel deleted all your applications you had , you may have to reinstall your OS and  then reinstall all your applications

Hi there, ok ur problem is very serious. Seems like ur PC don't allow any new software to be install. The only solution i know is to Re-install ur OS. Re-format ur HDD and install ur OS again.

Worst scenario you can do a destructive system restore.  It will restore the computer to its original settings as if you boght it at the store nad will get rid of the virus.  The downside is that you will loose all your files.  If you can record them in a cd or dvd or a card reader do so.  Now if you do the retore be careful when you put files back so you do not drag the virus back with you.  I would just record the extensions you know such as .doc and stuff.

here is how to do it:

Turn the unit on and , you will see "Press F10 to start recovery," press the F10 key.

You will see the Starting System Recovery screen will then appear with the Non-destructive System Recover selected.

In the System Recovery window click the Advanced Options button in the lower left of the window.

On the Recovery Options window, click System Recovery and click the Next button.

Click Yes when asked if you want to continue with the System Recovery.

You will see a warning that all files including data files will be lost. Click Yes to continue.

The System Recovery process will begin.

When the System Recovery has completed a window will appear telling you to click on the Restart button. Click the Restart button and the computer will restart.

well if your computer currently has viruses or trojans your computer will be affected when you connect to internet. Actually certain viruses and trojans collect data and transfer them when the computer is connected to internet. if your antivirus can't solve the problem then you are compelled to surf internet to search an online scan or other programs.....in this way more viruses may enter in your pc but on the other hand u can solve the problem....hope i could help

dump the computer and buy another one or ask your mum to supply you for money

restart you computer in safe mode then download AVG free and Spybot - Search & Destroy but before you download these you need to turn off system restore so right click on my computer click properties click the tab that says system restore then turn it off that will make it so that virus wont come back hope this helps
