Computer virus help!!

Question

my son has a virus on his computer, the internet will not open, it says spyware detected, it also has detected 7 viruses. The computer hs been painfully slow for ages now however we just put it down to him downloading too much stuff. how can this problem be corrected?

You need to use a virus protection program to remove the virus's, such as AVG 8.0 which is a free virus protection.

And then you need to use spyware protection like spybot to remove the spyware.

Boot up in Safe-Mode and run Maleware Bytes & SpyBot Search and Destroy, the are both free to downloads. If the doesn't work and you still have problems head to this site and sign up to the forums. They will help analyze your computer for infections.

I recommend too that you stay away from signing into bank accounts or sites that require your finacial information.

first do u have an antivirus.

if not u should get one i recomend u to use avast.and stop donlowding files from limewire, ares,etc.

Well,if you have been downloading many things on the computer the downloads may have let in some viruses and malicious spyware in during the installation process.So sorry I couldnt help removing it .                      :[

you know , you have to do just one thing . if you don't do it right now , one day you have to do it so now done it . ok i am a hacker and i know , just format your system (reformat) ... you know that ? just format and install a new windows. your windows got damage and it will be off soon . so reformat to fix it completely. First off go into safe mode, if you cannot open the internet, i suggest you get a usb stick and go on a differnt computer and download these programs.

AVG the latest version.

Spybot search and destroy

Ccleaner

After you download those programs off the website, put the installer (the file that is downloaded off the site) onto the usb and put those files on your sons computer and install them. After that, put your computer into safe mode, go onto google and search how to get into safe mode. After that use those programs (don't worry they are very easy to use) and restart your computer and see if most of your problems are fixed. Also i suggest if you do not have Firefox you get it. And check if your son is going on inappropriate websites.
