Computer virus question?

Recently my computer attracted a malware virus. Now my computer wont load past the windows login screen. What mode should I start the computer in? as I tried safe mode and no screen appears

You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. If you can not get into safe mode, you can try slaving the drive in another persons computer and scanning it.
