When I start my computer in normal mode it gets to the log in and just freezes. When I start my computer in safemode and try to log in as the Administrator it immediately logs me off, it says logging in and then saving settings and its back to the log in screen. Any ideas?

  1. Boot through safe mode, after booting through it,

perform check disk, by clicking on start menu, run, cmd, chkdsk.

You can perform system restore to a previous date too.

If you have a different version of windows e.g a service pack of your window, insert and perform upgrade this will not make you loose your files.

You can also boot from your bootable window cd and perform repair through recovery console and type this at recovery console

    chkdsk and hit enter.

This should work out for you.

  2. virus or a regerstry error.

  3. it seems your boot files have been lost or corrupted, firstly try to start the computer with F8 menu which derieves at the start point stating " the last configuration that worked, if you fail here, all you have to do is just use a windows boot disk and follow online instructions but while selecting menu just give the preference to Repair option, and continue, and on restarting if you are successful then fine, if not you will have to reinstall the complete operating system
