Recently I my background turned blue with a antivirus pop-up ad, so I looked this up and it appeared to be a virus called "Antivirus 2008". I ran symantec and ad-aware, which it detected a view threats. After deleting those it got rid of the ad but not the blue background. My display option for changing my background is gone as well.

Here's my biggest problem. Whatever the virus is, it has affected my browsers, both firefox and IE. When I do a search on google or yahoo, it redirects me other sites. Also I CANT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING! I've been trying to download software like spydoctor, but it will only partially download it. It does this for everything. Even youtube videos will only play partially because it stops downloading. Ive tried system restore.

I hope someone can help. Thanks
