Computer won't play camcorder videos?

I put the videos from my flip camcorder and windows media player can't play the video because it says : The drive or network connection that the shortcut refers to is unavailable. Make sure the disk is properly inserted or network resource is available and try again.

what should i do ? BTW its vista im using.

make sure the videos are copied to the computer and are not playing off of the camera itself
