I've been having problems with my computer. About 1 month ago everytime i would turn my computer on a yellow light would be blinking with some sort of beeping noise. Then i just turned it off thinking it would turn back on and work normally, but when i tried to turn back on it didnt do anything no blinking, no beeping, it just didnt turn on. Then my friend said that i should try and pull all the plugs out, wait a little then put them back in. I tried this about 3 times and it didnt work. Then on the 4th time it worked. Everything was working perfectly. Then when i turned my computer off again, It wouldnt turn back on. I didnt do anything again. Now ive been pulling the plugs out and putting them back in for several weeks, and it still doesnt work. Though, i still have faith it will come back to me. My monitor works perfectly and it's not the outlet becasue i've tried it in others. My question is, is there anything else i can do to try and fix it? Please help me!

  1. It really depends on how long you have had the computer...

Because just after about 10 12 years it's gonna start getting , actin a little weird..

I've had mine for 8 years nothing yet but im sure in the next few year something is gonna happen to it..idk i hope not but..who knows..

So maybe you should call somone about it maybe they can fix it?

    Hope i helped! =) =) =)

  2. If the problem is with the power supply, a new power supply might correct the symptoms.

If the problem is a bad connection on the motherboard, the symptoms will probably persist.

I'd encourage you to go ahead and back up your data if you haven't already. But if you haven't, and the computer never comes on again, take out and keep the hard drive(s) in it because the data may be intact. Retrieving data from a working drive isn't too much trouble.

  3. hey lauren,,once you get on,,try to do the full system scan,,with norton anti virus or whatever you have on your pc, try to delete unwanted programs,,,sounds like you have old pc,,,if yes,,,do not have any movies or big files ,,and see, i think, you got virus,,so scan it and see,,good luck cutie

  4. It's likely either your power supply is broken or your processor has been chronically overheating and has been fried.
