Computer wont detect my camera like it used to. What is wrong and how do i fix it?

if it's a webcam on a toshiba your not the only one, i've yet to figure it out it works when i wants to

Well it might help to tell us what kind of camera you have and what kind of computer you have...

Have you recently added another USB device, CD drive or network drive?  Sometimes USB devices such as cameras only like to map at drive letters quite low in the alphabet.  So, for example, if you've recently added something at G:\ and your camera normally uses that letter, it may not work.  Try removing whatever device you recently added, or more that new device to a different letter.
