Concealor and foundation...

Question

i dont really understand the difference...if you could tell me the difference and an example of each product and which one you apply first...that would be awesome!!! thanks!

foundation is like a base. you apply everywhere to even out skin color.

concealor you use to.. cover up, whether its a blemish or dark circles around the eyes.

you usually apply concealor before the foundation, but if you apply after it really makes no difference. and when you apply, use your ring finger (weakest of the bunch) and dab the concealor do not rub.

Bare Minerals makes good ones.  The concealer covers up imperfections and discolorations.  It goes on first.  Then the foundation goes on to make your entire face one nice even color.

concealer is as it suggets, it conceals and hides imperfections and blemishes. Your concealer should match your skin tone so not to highlight or make blemishes darker or more noticable. it is usually a lot thicker than foundation

Foundataion is the sarting point to build your make up on. Foundation should also match your skin tone, so you look healthy natural and dont have makeup lines.

Firstly exfoliate to get rid of dead skin, then moisturize to keep skin soft, then if you use one add your primer or make u base, this acts as a canvas to begin your look, then you should add your foundation, and belnd it well,

once you have your foundation, you should be able to see which areas of your face need to be corrected (if any) so add your concealer to you blemishes and pat it on, dont rub coz it will rub the concealor off.

You sould always put your concealer on after applying foundation, not just because it will all get rubbed off when you blend your foundation, but coz u cant see what needs touching up untill you have got your skin even.

An example is if you were painting a blank wall ( so without any paint) you wouldnt do any touch ups to the wall until you had put the base paint on, because you cant see what needs to be touched up until that point, so if you imagine the blank wall is your face (pre makeup) and the paint is your foundation, then the concealer is your touch up .

concealor you use just on spots/under eye bags, things like that. It's to hide blemishes and is much much thicker and more opaque than foundation.

foundation you apply all over your face to make your skin look nicer.

You can apply them in either order, i put my concealor on, then foundation, then more concealor for maximum coverage
