Conceiving right before period?

Question

I know this may be a stupid question...but Im hoping someone can answer anyways. I dont want to get my hopes up, so I am looking for some expertise. We are trying to get pregnant.. we had s*x a few days before my period and then i never got it. I felt like it was almost here around the time we had s*x and then that feeling went away. I know we are hardly fertile a few days before our period but is it possible we did get pregnant? How long after the conceiving date should i take a test? after my missed period would of only been a few days after s*x so Im pretty sure its still too early.. and I dont want to get our hopes up since we have suffered two losses. I am going through that too. I suspect I had a very late ovulation on day 24 myself. I didnt think it would happen since it was so late in the cycle.I am waiting 2 weeks after I suspect it could have occured.They say you can get a positive hpt like 10 dpo so I think like 10-14 days after your period was suppose to start would be the best chance to get an accurate result. if you have regular periods, then you ovulate 2 weeks before your period.....if you had s*x around those days then there's a good possibility, but to be sure since your period is late, def. take an hpt to be on the safe side, good luck!!! you can also learn more about your fertile days and ask doctors online for free, try fertilityties.com
