Concerning John Cena's time off?

Question

I have heard many reports that he could be out till sometime late next year. If that is the case, do you think if & when he returns will WWE drop whatever they are doing and push him straight to the top again ?

Or will WWE be already caught up in whoever it is that they will give the ultimate face push to ?

It seems like the last time Cena was injured they knew in advance that he would be cleared to return early and thus keep it a secret so they could have him make his big splash at this year's Royal Rumble.

I think theyll push him to the top, he's one of their top stars so i dont see why wouldnt push him.

No...he wasn't being pushed to the title right now anyway, just in the matches and losing.  He shoulda ate more hoagies.

He will be in the mix, but the champ will be the champ when Cena comes back.  He eats hoagies.

Yeah,it is actually a bad spot for the company if cena is off.It can affect the ratings even though many people hate him.The good thing is that there are top wrestlers returning from injury like rey and orton making their spots for the world champion and the main eventers will be not crowded

my mom had two severly herneated discs in her neck and it took her about 3 months to recover fully after the surgery but she had to take like 2 months of therapy so im thinkin he'll be back at the royal rumble again. hopefully he wont win this time

Well i don't know about any of that now. John Cena wouldn't even allow that. Cena is dedicated to the WWE as he said on wwe.com. Now if that is the case i doubt they're just going to push whoever out the way and give the gold to Cena. They didn't do that last time..

he is going to be back in 2-4 months they said.....so it prob. wont be too much more different than it is now- i hope he feuds w/ orton again (the new champ when he comes back)

the reason he is out is because he is working on a movie dont know the name but if i find anything i will tell you, my guess for his return is probally a few weeks before the royal rumble.

Being a Cena fan myself, I think he needs to come back with a new gimmick.

Where his injury is concerned, they should not give him the same surprise push. After re-inventing the image, they should build it up with promo after promo for about two months. I don't know that he should be promoted as a face. I think he needs to be taken more seriously. And he should be able to utilize more moves than he typically does. He can do more moves.

The Marine is over.

They are in desperate need of a new gimmick for John Cena if he is going to be remembered as one of the all-time best that ever was.

They'll probably push near the top, I don't think he'll go directly to the top..but maybe they'll put him in a main event feud but not win the belt yet.

But the story is he had surgery today..and will be out 2 - 4 months. He could return by Survivor Series, the latest by the Royal Rumble.

EDIT: To those saying he's making a movie, he's not..the movie is called 12 Rounds, and it's already done. He worked on that earlier in the year. The movie will be out sometime next year.
