  1. spots on lips are actually acne on cats. generally on the chin. that's caused by unsanitary drinking and food bowls where the cats lower mouth rests on the bowl while eating or drinking. the bowls should be ceramic and cleaned daily to cure it as well as prevent further breakouts. as to the kitten, it could be a sign that the mother has chlamydia, aids, cancer, or a number of other fatal or potentially fatal diseases, which means congratulations, you just killed your kittens. Take it and the mother and any other cats or kittens in touch with that cat to the vet immediately. you could have saved a huge bill by taking your cat to the vet every six months and vaccinating it yearly for panleukopenia, calicivirus, felv, rhinotracheitis, etc.  I happen to be a vet, and black spots on a cats tongue is one of several symptoms of several auto immune diseases, and other potentially fatal diseases. be a better owner, or don't keep pets. Ignorance is not bliss, it's horrid.. To those animals you are their provider, their protector, their shelter, and their safety. It's up to you to keep them healthy.  They need help, so don't sit idly by, asking people on a computer on Yahoo! of all places, for help!  At least CALL a vet. How hard it that?  Really, it's just numbers on a phone.  OR, find a vet website, take photos of the tongue, describe the symptoms, eating habits, etc. and next time, don't be so dumb.

  2. Yah it i completely normal. It is just something that some cats have.  Dont worry your cat is perfectly normal.

  3. i don't think anythings wrong with it. it could be hereditary, but if your worried take it to a vet.

  4. One of my cats (my newest rescue kitten) has black spots on her tongue. Unless they are raised or seem to bother her, I wouldn't worry. I've seen a few cats with spots on their tongues and they were perfectly healthy!

It's good you're worrying about your new kitty, it shows you care! Good job!

If you're really worried about it, mention it to the vet when you take her to the vet for her shots and to be spayed. But most likely, it's nothing to worry over and she will grow up big and strong!

  5. i don't think so...you should have a vet look at it. poor baby! hope  he/she feels better

  6. Could it be freckle or something?

I know a cat that has freckles on his lips.

  7. Maybe it is mixed with Chow?? lol j/k I've never seen a black spot on a cats tongue, but I guess it's possible. If this is something you haven't noticed before I would take her to the vet and have her checked out.
