Ok, apparently the father of the victim is now suing Greyhound over the issue. What do you guys think of this? Justified? In my opinion, in this case, suing the bus line would be detrimental to justice. My heart goes out to the family, but I don't see how Greyhound, let alone anyone else, could have predicted that one stranger would totally snap, muder and behead another stranger. Yes it happened on the bus, but can you really hold them accountable for someone elses actions? Opinions?!

  1. The nature of this murder is so horrific that it would be difficult to resolve this in any sort of rational way if you are a parent.  Of course, there is no way that Greyhound could have prevented this bizarre and unpredictable violence.  I don't think much will come of the suit against the bus line, but maybe by pursuing such action, the father will find some consolation, justice or peace of mind.

  2. No, I agree, nothing they could have done; in fact, the driver was very quick witted and shut the bus off so the killer could not use it to drive away, which he tried to do. What a horror, that one really shocked me and I thought I was unshockable any more.

  3. I think that is crazy, how the h**l can they be responsible for the actions of a lunatic. Like you I feel sorry for the family but how is suing a bus company going to put it right. That's right it cant.
