Concerning yahoo group replys?

Does anyone know how I make a yahoo group where when someone replys to someones post it goes privatley. This isnt an open group..its bartering etc but evertime someone post what they have and get a reply it goes to the whole group I put it on "sender" but its not working

  1. If you're the Group owner, or a moderator with the appropriate privileges, you can change the default for where a reply goes.  But you can't eliminate members' choice to reply to the whole Group if they want.

    To change this default (if you haven't already), log in to your Group's web site.  Then click on Management on the left-hand side of the page.  Then click Messages in the Group Settings section (towards the upper-right-hand corner).  Then click the Edit link next to Posting And Archives.  Then select Sender in the Reply-To column.  Don't forget to click the Save Cahnges button when you're done.

    If you've done this, and people are still replying to the whole Group, and you don't want them to, then create a Rules file and have it posted to the Group periodically.


  2. management- under group settings click messages- posting and archives (edit) <-- click the edit- 2nd column reply to check sender- click save changes

    you now changed the default however keep in mind the poster still can send replies to the goup. ypu may have to post what you expect of your members and how and where they ned to send replies to
