Concorde? how fast?

Question

so i heard the concorde (airplane) can take you from california to new york in about 10-30mins its that true

then how long would it take from cali to europe?

i know they took the plane out of service

The current transcontinental speed record, Los Angeles to Virgina, was set in 1990 by an SR-71, and stands at 64 minutes.  The Concorde was not capable of anything close to the SR-71's speed, so no, it is not true that a Concorde could make the trip in 10-30 minutes.

The Concorde crossed the Atlantic in slightly less than four hours.  The aircraft was not able to overfly populated areas supersonically so crossing the U.S. would have taken about 6 hours.  The plane would have had to refuel in New York.  There is the problem with the Concorde, range.  It could just barely cross the Atlantic with the fuel it could carry.  Refueling takes time and when you start adding time for landing, refueling and take off again,  the Concorde's speed advantage is lost. That's why it never connected to L.A.

A 747 taking off from L.A. at the same time as a Concorde would likely have the advantage of long un-refueled range and it's ability to use a polar route which could very well mean that the 747 might beat the Concorde on a trip from L.A. to Paris.\

The Concorde on the Atlantic route was where it really proved it's superior speed.  If a 747 and a Concorde took off at the same time from Paris the Concorde would get to N.Y. before the 747 was halfway, although at five times the price.

concorde could travel from london heathrow to lax in less ,than 2 and a half hours it could travel at a altitude of 75,000 feet but they didn't and it could travel at a speed of Mach 2.2 - which is 2.2 times the speed of sound

no no no. nothing is that fast. it takes from nyc-la around 2 1/2 HOURS and a little more to get to england.
