Concrete Coffin?

It sounds like a modern electropop band, but it's not. It's the title to my question!

I remember years ago reading about a scientist, who was perhaps from the Ukraine, perhaps the Russian federation who was involved in culturing a deadly virus. His colleague recalled how, through a perspex window, he realised in horror that he had punctured his protective suit. He could not leave the test chamber, his wife arrived to be as close to him as she could be during his final hours. He was buried in concrete.

It isn't science fiction, I clearly remember seeing this on television, but does anyone know any more details?

What a terrible end! Horrific! Still, I suppose it is just desserts for culturing a deadly virus.
