  1. Sure. I went snowboarding and hit the ground so hard a broke some ribs. lol I was in so much pain it was un bearable. However I finished out the day on 1200mg of Ibprofen and bein very carful 6 hours later I was at the hospital being yelled at by the doctor. I guess I could have puntured a lung If I fell again. All I had to say was I paid 50 bucks and just started.

he didn't like that. Took about a month for it to heal right and another for the pain to completly go away. it hurts like you wouldn't believe. Forget coughing or sneezing and it gets worse before it gets better.

So you had it easy lol.

    Have fun next time though.

  2. same hear this past winter...i had a headache for 2 weeks..u no what i learned  not 2 hit   my head ever  again....& i havent so far....

  3. I would not try any major stuff till later but just 2 ride.. why not

  4. Hard to tell the difference between concussion in a normal person and what passes for normal with a snowboarder.

  5. h**l yeah

  6. Well, I'm not a doctor... but I played one as a kid...

Smack your head on the floor to see if you're ready for impacts yet.

If you can whack your forehead hard on a carpeted floor without

any leakage from your ears, you should be okay, maybe, I guess.

  7. Back way off on everything you do for at least 90 days. If you go boarding  avoid any more head injuries for the next year. Otherwise a blow could be fatal, this is what your doctor is concerned with at this time.  I took a major blow to the back and was knocked 25 feet through the air and knocked out. It took 3 days to start clearing my head, and 2 years before I was able to take reasonable risks again.  And yes I was wearing a helmet.

  8. ya i got a cuncussion this year (i was wearing my helmet too). mine wasnt major as well. i just stayed off for 5 days and was back out throwin same stuff as the weeknd b4. i just had a headache for a few days

  9. I had my share of concussions, especially before I started wearing a helmet.

I hardly ever take time off, but that doesn't mean it was a smart thing to do.

When I am talking with my doc, I let him know that snowboarding for me isn't just a hobby, and that I have to be ready for comps and stuff, and his answers for how much time I should actually take off usually goes down.

Since snowboarding is a "hobby" the time your doc is suggesting is probably way on the safe side since the doc doesn't think a hobby is worth extra risk.

The only time I have ever taken time off is from major injuries.
