Question:

Condensation (water droplets) collecting inside my fridge?

Along the top left inside of the fridge and slightly along the top of the left side wall there is drops of water, like condensation on a glass, collecting inside of my refridgerator. What could be causing this? The refridgerator is not that old, it was just purchased about a year ago. Could this be caused by the seal around the door not being tight enough and if so how expensive is the seal to replace? Thanks in advance!

  1. it could be because you left the fridge door open. it could be the seal as well, and it depends on the fridge. however first start by making sure the temp is correct and that the door remains closed and not open to long, because its summer now and its hot out.

  2. Yep - Its likely the seal. First try just cleaning it good and clean the contact surface as well. make sure its not deformed or damaged in any way. If its damaged it wont be under warranty.

  3. It's really easy to check the seal. 2 ways.

Put a lit flashlight in the frige, and close the door. Can you see light?

Take a dollar bill and place 1/2 in the the frig at different places, and close the door.  Does the bill slide out easily, in one or another place?

  4. Ug, seems like you bought a new purchase "lemon" product. If it was my fridge I would contact the seller and have them rectify the situation {even if the warranty is non-applicable have them honor it anyway; remember they need a paycheck.}   J. in Arkansas USA

  5. Since it is new I doubt it is the seal however the door may not be properly hung.Should still be under warrenty call them bach'
