I understand the concept of conditional and converse. I just need help thinking of some examples.

Like a mathematical statement for the following:

1. A true conditional statement with a converse that is false.

and both a non mathematical and mathematical statement for the following:

1. A false conditional statement with a converse that is true.

2. A false conditional statement with a converse that is false.

  1. Oh this is sorta fun.

A true mathematical conditional statement with a false converse:

Conditional:  If set A and set B are in set C, then set A is in set C.

Converse:  If set A is in set C, then set A and set B are in set C.

    1. A false conditional statement with a converse that is true:

Conditional:  If it is wet outside, then it is raining.

Converse:  If it is raining, then it is wet outside.

Conditional:  If If set A is in set C, then set A and set B are in set C.

Converse:  If set A and set B are in set C, then set A is in set C.

    2. A false conditional statement with a converse that is false:

Conditional:  If tomorrow is Tuesday, then today is Friday.

Converse:  If today is Friday, then tomorrow is Tuesday.

Conditional:  If x is an odd number, then x is divisible by 2.

Converse:  If x is divisible by 2, then x is an odd number.

    I've used one example twice, but you didn't say I couldn't. :P
