Condoms at the olympics?

I read an article about the IOC providing 100000 condoms for athletes at the olympics. Is there a need for that many condoms because I doubt there will be a mass outbreak of HIV.

  1. do they really need that many?

  2. There is around 10,000 Athletes using the village over the course of 16 days - both men and women - and some will be celebrating victory.

While no one is implying anything will happen, it is certainly best practice to have these available to people in such circumstances.

PS: HIV isn't the only thing a condom prevents. ;-)

  3. Why are you complaining about free condoms?

  4. LOL.

  5. you'd think that if athletes were looking to 'hook up' during the olympics they would have already brought their own condoms.  but i guess you may not even really think about it until you get there and you notice all of the fit bodies walking around all over the place and you're already single...and young.

  6. i would think that they would too tired to have s*x

  7. only precaution is good

  8. i don't think its that many but they don't want them catching anything. its a nice though, wouldn't you want them if you made it? you know you would wanna get laid, just think how bored they must be

  9. well we will never no

  10. lol

  11. I find it more troubling that you think condoms can prevent you from getting HIV.
