For 10 years, defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marc-Planus-c23491 has been associated with Ligue 1 side FC Girondins de Bordeaux. The defender arrived at the club as an academy hopeful and has now gone on to become a player of big importance.
Under contract at Stade Chaban Delmas until June 2015, Planus has stuck with his beloved Bordeaux through good and bad times.
In recent years, the club has cut a sorry figure especially after the FIFA World Cup. In the columns of L’Equipe, the central defender gave his version of the hardships that the ‘Bordelaise’ have endured in recent times.

However, despite all this, Planus chose to remain at the club such was his loyalty to a club with whom he has stayed all his life.
After a few injuries that have hindered his participation, Planus has returned to his best for Bordeaux who are now looking good. Currently in ninth place in the Ligue 1 standings, Bordeaux know that they have a great chance of playing in at least the Europa
League next season.
Planus also says that he is keen on fulfilling his part of the contract.
“After a year and half without being able to fulfil my part of the contract, it is a relief to be back. The group has become much less experienced; Jaroslav Plasil was a little lonely. This is one of the best times of my football career. I became a father,
I just turned thirty. This makes me more mature and calmer,” said Planus.
Bordeaux are really lucky to have such an experienced player in their side who has literally stuck by through good and bad times.
