Confident Martin likely to dominate the Owners’ Bonus Series Heat 1
Confident Martin is likely to dominate proceedings in the Owners’ Bonus Series Heat 1 at Peterborough in England on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. The winner of the Grade A1 event will be awarded with a cash prize of £98.
The 420 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 20:53 GMT and the entries confirmed for it are: Confident Martin, Bonnan Bui, Cloncunny Peach, Seathwaite Champ, Racenight Wild and Crack Out Flo.
F. Lenton’s trainee has been enjoying some consistent performances in this class and is likely to make a solid impression in today’s race as well. He likes running at Peterborough, as the track has been quite lucky for him.
The black and white dog stamped authority in his previous outing at Peterborough, as he won by a comprehensive margin of almost six lengths. He led the race from the start and never allowed anyone else to come closer until the end.
The punters will be expecting a similar performance from Confident Martin, who has the winning momentum with him. It will not be a very good idea to place bets against his victory today.
Today’s favourite hound is the son of Crash out of Costly Flight and he was born in May 2009.
Bonnan Bui, trained by David Pruhs, is the one expected to challenge the race favourite. However, things will not be easy for him, as his recent form has not been impressive at all. Although he managed a third place finish in his previous outing, he will
have to do a lot better than that in order to win today.
The brindle dog is known for his brisk starts, but he will have to show some stamina as well in order to leave the rest of the pack behind. Some punters might take a chance on him, as he can be a tough competitor on a good day. He is the son of Killahan
Phanter out of Trip To Skellig and was born in July 2009.
The third favourite for the Owners’ Bonus Series Heat 1 is, Cloncunny Peach, trained by M. Alden. She has been running quite well recently and might end up on top of the table today. Her last three outings saw her finishing runner up and a victory is due
on her.
The black b***h is the daughter of Black Shaw out of Peaches and was born in February 2009.
There seems to be no match for Confident Martin today, as he is in very good rhythm. He is likely to finish on top of the table, if everything goes well for him.
